PROJECT SUMMARY

After working on a few initial projects with Robert Kendrick, I was brought on board to Northwest Stewards (Development company of Madrona Cove) to be the onsite project manager for this development.

Initially I was in charge of designing and construction of the onsite amenities:

3.5 miles of trails, community garden area
Beach front community area
Numerous picnic and bird watching locations
Lot identification and clearing.

Once the initial design and development activities of the 50 acre property was complete I managed onsite construction and development activities.

Public roadway construction
Utility Installation
Onsite permitting and zoning activities

LESSONS LEARNED

This was my first transition into commercial business management. Although I was inexperienced, I enjoyed the organizational activities and operational coordination of this project.

This was also my first prject away from the Bay area. For two consecutive summers (outside the rainy Seattle season) I moved onto Vashon Island.

FIRM DESCRIPTION

Madrona Cove is an exclusive community located on Clovis Passage. Only 15 Private parcels are available within the approximately 50 acres of Madrona Cove, with a private beach and kayak launch, meandering nature trails and community garden, and over 30 acres of reserved forest and tidelands remaining as a private sanctuary owned by residents of the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

I managed all onsite construction and design development activities
Onsite development schedules
Oversaw and controlled budgets
Controlled quality and performance standards.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE

Developed 15 luxury parcels
Developed extensive onsite ammenities including 5 miles of trails, beach front dock and picnic area, and community gardens
Assisted in the design and devlopment of the project, as well as the sales and marketing collaterals
